James Odom Obituary

James is preceded in death by his father James E. Odom Sr., his sister Cheryl Sullivan and his brother-in-law Patrick Brown.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Lavondia Odom, his children; PJ Odom, Bradley Odom, Courtney (Logan) Parker, Crystal (Dylon) Moore. Grandchildren; Cohen Mallette, Collier Mallette, and Saylor Brooke Parker. Also survived by his mother Mary Swindoll, sister Brenda Kay Lewis and brother-in-laws Ron (Donna) Brown and Calvin Brown. He will be deeply missed by many other family and friends.
James enjoyed the outdoors and wood working. James retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after working for 25 years as a welder and Fire Marshall.
Pallbearers are Jason Ely, Glen Ely, River Brown, Derrick Brown, Logan Parker, and Dylon Mallette.
The family will receive friends at a graveside service at 11:00am on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Vancleave #1 Cemetery on Jim Ramsay Road in Vancleave, MS.
