Roy’s life began August 17, 1961, in St. Charles, MO. He was the son of Denver and Gail Ann (Payne) Oliver. He was a 1980 graduate of White City High School. Roy was united in marriage to Vicky Luyster on August 12, 1982, in Council Grove. He was an auto mechanic by trade and was an avid dirt track racer. Roy loved to turn left on the area tracks and truly lived to race. He had also done some drag racing in the region. Roy had a special heart for animals and for his family. He is survived by his wife Vicky Oliver of the home, his mother Gail Oliver of White City, children Amanda (Tim) Miller, Justin Oliver, and Amber (Haydn) Garrison; grandchildren Lexie (Luis) Perez, Dakota (Beka) Miller, Maddison Miller, Logan Oliver, Lillyann Oliver, Elaine Azevedo, Skylar Azevedo, Zoey Azavedo, and Haydn Garrison; great grandchildren Saphira Perez, Dalton Perez, Jasper Miller and Jaxson Miller; brothers Denver ( Rita) Oliver of Dwight and Steven (Kathy) Oliver of St. George and several nieces and nephews. Roy passed away at his mother’s home on Saturday January 24, 2026. He is preceded in death by his father. His family will gather with friends on Saturday January 31, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the White City Christian Church for his memorial service. He will be laid to rest in White City Cemetery at a later date.
