Roy H. Parrish, Jr.
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Roy H. Parrish, Jr., age 63, will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 15, 2025, at Clear Water Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Smart and Pastor David Harper officiating. Mr. Parrish was carried to Jesus on Friday February 7, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Lisa Day Parrish and a son to Mrs. Sara Stone Parrish and the late Mr. Roy Harvey Parrish, Sr. Mr. Parrish was a native and lifelong resident of the Aiken area. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a faithful member of Clear Water Branch Baptist Church where he taught the Royal Ambassadors, was an assistant director for vacation Bible school, was a current Deacon and Treasurer, and wore many hats over the years. In his younger years, he worked at R&R Electric with his father. He also served many years as a paramedic with Aiken County EMS. Mr. Parrish also served as an RN at both Aiken Regional and the North Augusta Health Department. He was in the medical field for 25 years collectively. Mr Parrish was also a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans Barnard E. Bee Camp as a past commander in the Battle of Aiken. He was also an avid Clemson fan. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, but his passion was to help and serve others. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Additional Survivors include: one daughter Brittany (Michael) Rachel Allen, Clemson; one brother Michael Parrish, SC; one grandchild Amelie Allen; his father-in-law Charles (fiance Rae Hall) Day, Aiken; a brother-in-law Mark (Celia) Day, Aiken; a sister-in-law Debra (Christian) Oehlberg, Aiken; his fur babies Buddy and Bandit; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A visitation with the family will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Clear Water Branch Baptist Church 235 Crooked Creek Rd Aiken, SC 29805 or the Gideons International www.gideons.org/donate.
