Elbert “Porter” Parrish, Jr. Born October 20, 1928, to Elbert Porter Parrish, Sr. and Melvena Sharpe Parrish, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by parents, siblings, Margaret Harris, Roy Parrish, Robert Parrish, Nancy Leach. Survived by wife, Julia; son, Elbert Porter Parrish, III (Rebecca Baker Parrish); two grandchildren, Adam Parrish (Natalie) of Colona, Illinois; Steven Parrish of Nashville; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gianna, and Briella; and his brother, Johnny Parrish of Mt. Juliet.
He was an early member of Temple Hills Gold Club, lifetime member of ASHRAE and Honorary member of AIA of Middle Tennessee. Chapter and Bellevue Church of Christ.
A visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 8:30am until 9:30am. Immediately following the visitation, the family will proceed to the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a service and burial beginning at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the caring staff of Heart & Soul Hospice Foundation at 402 BNA Drive Suite 305 Nashville, Tennessee; Attention to: Andre Lee.
