Roy Pyron Obituary
Roy Dwayne Pyron “Rock”, age 73 passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Roy was born on November 8, 1951 to Malcolm and Gloria Pyron. He was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. In Roy’s younger years, he played softball with Frierson out of Jackson, Mississippi. He was a natural athlete and loved anything that involved sports. He went on to pursue a career as a table games dealer, and he also had a successful pest control business. He was loved by many and had a unique sense of humor. He could always make you laugh under any circumstances. He will be greatly missed.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Gloria Pyron; sibling, Malcolm Pyron Jr.; and nephew, Timmy Pyron Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Kari (Justin) Welch; his son, Blake Pyron; grandchildren, Austin Seymour, Aubree Seymour, Noah Pyron, Aiden Pyron and Memphis Welch; and by his siblings, Lindus Pyron, Susan Lebatard, and Timmy Pyron Sr.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Ocean Springs on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Visiting hours for family and friends are between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Reception will follow at Grace Baptist Church gymnasium. A private interment will be held at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
