Netta Florence "Peggy" Pyron

Netta "Peggy" Florence (McRaven) Pyron, of Rolla, MO, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at the age of 94.
She was born on April 22, 1931 in Napa, California to the late John S. McRaven and Margret (Saxon) McRaven. On August 29, 1954, she married the late Howard Dean Pyron. In addition to her parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by one brother, Daniel McRaven and one sister, Patricia McRaven.
Peggy was active in the church, education system and the AARP tax program from the first days of moving to Rolla, MO in 1959. She was a secretary for much of her career. She earned a masters in English and taught English in high school and College. She worked with the volunteers in the AARP free IRS Tax program in Phelps County. Peggy enjoyed Cardinal baseball, playing scrabble, quilting, and reading.
Peggy will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes her four children, John Pyron and wife, Carie of Kansas City, MO, Cathy Fieseler and husband, Wayne of Versailles, KY, Susan Miller and husband, Brad of Huntsville, AL, and Nancy Pyron and husband, Gene Felber of Washington; her brother, Charles McRaven and wife, Linda of Virginia; her brother John McRaven and wife, Jane of Missouri; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Peggy Pyron will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church of Rolla or Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia which operates end of life personal care homes.
