Roy Conrad Riska, Jr., 74 of Rollingstone, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Gundersen Health System.
Roy was born December 15, 1949 in Winona to Roy Conrad Riska, Sr. and Shirley (Webber) Riska. Following his graduation from Winona Senior High, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Upon his discharge from the Army, he attended Winona State University. On April 7, 1984, Roy married Caryl Louise Leet. Throughout the years, he worked at Badger Construction, Winona County as a Home Health Aide, St. Mary’s Press, Riverside Electronics and various maintenance jobs.
Roy was an avid runner and enjoyed hunting, eating out, painting and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Caryl; children, David (Sara) Schley, Andrea Simmons and Jennifer Riska; grandchildren, Cadence Simmons, Rylynn Simmons and Beau Banks; brother, Butch Riska and niece Shelly Riska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Annie and Margaret.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center. It will begin at 4 p.m. with a prayer service led by Pastor Michael Short. Military honors will be performed immediately following and then a visitation will continue until 7 p.m.
