Roy P. Scheetz, 88, long-time resident of Catasauqua, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Wilmington, North Carolina. He had lived the past two and a half years at Arbor Landing Retirement Community in Shallotte, North Carolina. Roy was the husband of the late Rita L. (Gillespie) Scheetz. Born in Lehigh County, Roy was the son of the late Roy Calvin Scheetz and Ruth (Remmel) Scheetz. Roy and Rita were the co-owners of Scheetz's Radio & TV Service in Catasauqua for many years. Roy was a member of the Catasauqua Presbyterian Church. He was active with the Catasauqua J4 committee and the Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club. Roy was a veteran of the US Army Signal Corp., having served in Korea. Survivors: Daughter, Gale L., wife of Retired Colonel John A. Klotsko, Jr. of Bolivia, NC; Granddaughter, Dr. Shannon A. Klotsko, of Wilmington, NC; Granddaughter, Natalie Cameron and her husband CDR Brett Cameron, US Navy, and their sons, Jacob Roy and Lucas James Cameron (Roy's great-grandsons) of Norfolk, VA. Services: A Calling Hour will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd, at O'Donnell Funeral Home, 1064 Fifth St., North Catasauqua, from 10-11 am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00. Internment, at Fairview Cemetery in West Catasauqua, will follow. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association, 8 Race St., Catasauqua, PA 18032. Arrangements entrusted to the O'Donnell Funeral Home, North Catasauqua.
