Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Throughout his military career, he distinguished himself with courage and honor, receiving numerous decorations including the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, among many others. His contributions to his nation were significant, and his legacy reflects a lifetime of commitment to the ideals of freedom and service.
In his personal life, Roy is survived by his loving wife, Thuan Tieman, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership. He is also survived by two daughters, Seria Dudley and Hahn Goodrum, who carry forward his spirit and values. Roy's family expanded with ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. He is further mourned by his sister, Kim Jones; his brother, Gary Tieman; along with several nieces and nephews, who will cherish the memories of his warmth and kindness.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Henry Tieman and Joyce Henderson, a sister, Sharon Harlow, and his beloved son, Danny. Their memories will forever be a part of the legacy he leaves behind.
Roy Glenn Tieman will be remembered not only for his exemplary military service but also for his devotion to his family and the strength and integrity that characterized his life. His impact on those who knew him will be felt for generations to come, as he leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy rooted in love and service.
