A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30,2026 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Roy was born on October 18, 1957 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Albert J. Wright and Wanda Louise (Phillips) Wright.
Roy worked as a ranch hand, working cattle and training horses most of his life. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Anderson) Wright; children: Angela Womack, Erica Wright, Tyler Wright, and Gatlin Bond and wife, Cambrien; grandchildren: Ashlee Standifer, Alexis Standifer, Shelby and Austin Davis, Tobi and Chasen Sowell, Ethan Newberry, Kenton Newberry, Khloe Wright, Zane Wright, Tailer Wright, Devin Wright, Kimber Bond and Blakely Bond; great grandchildren: Colter, Bonnie, and Chasen, Jr.; brother, Wayne Wright and wife, Norma; and other family and friends.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents: Albert J. Wright and Wanda Louise (Phillips) Wright; grandparents: Edgar and Minnie Phillips; William Walter and Willie May Wright. son, Rodney Lee Wright; Niece, Natashia Wright; son-in-law, Darrin White; and brothers, Don Wright, and William A. Wright.
