Royal Lacey Obituary
Royal Eugene Lacey was born on June 24, 1931, in Commerce, Georgia. He lived a life characterized by dedication and commitment, eventually retiring from his position as a shop administrator with Roper. His professional journey was marked by integrity and hard work, traits that were integral to both his career and personal life.
Royal passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Commerce, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.
He is survived by his spouse, Geraldine Watson Lacey, his grandson, Joseph Gary, and three great-grandchildren. Royal also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Royal is preceded in death by his parents, Oddis and Sallie Slaton Lacey, his daughter, Lisa Lacey Gary, and his sister, Margianne Kinsey. He is also mourned by his brothers, Calvin Lacey, Carl Lacey, and Racheo Lacey.
A graveside service to honor Royal's life will be held at Jackson Memorial Gardens in Commerce, Georgia, on November 10, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and all who knew Royal are invited to attend and pay their respects.
