Royce Eli Aughtman Jr.

Born August 14th, 1972 to his loving mother Bonnie Rose Aughtman and the late Royce Eli Aughtman Sr. He graduated in 1990 from Straughn High School in Andalusia, Alabama.
He served in the U.S. Army for a little over 2 years with one tour to Iraq. He was also a field service technician for Electric Motor & Contracting for 25 years.
R.J, as he was known to his family and close friends, enjoyed grilling and spending quality time with his family. He lived an honest hard-working life and impacted everyone around him throughout the years. Although R.J's life was cut short, he will be deeply and always missed.
He leaves behind his beautiful and dear wife, Robin Danielle Aughtman, of 22 years, his mother Bonnie Rose Aughtman, two brothers and their spouses Scott & Amy Aughtman, Danny & Tracy Aughtman, His four wonderful children and their spouses; Tyler & Brooke Aughtman, Shelby & Justin Mallery, Blake & Shanquelle Aughtman, and Courtney Aughtman & Ethan Racine. His four precious grandchildren, whom he adored and was lovingly known as Pawpaw; McKenna Lynn, Colton Eli, Reese Anthony, and William Eli. Along with many other beloved family members and a host of friends, who over time become family.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
A visitation service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Snellings Funeral Home located at 1144 George Washington Highway, Chesapeake, Virginia 23323 from 6-8PM with the rendering of military honors.
