Royce Leon Chambers, born on April 27, 1937, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, departed this world on May 3, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and service that touched countless lives. He spent a fulfilling career at General Motors, where his dedication and work ethic were evident in all he did. Royce's educational journey began in Elkhart, Indiana, where he laid the foundation for his professional and personal endeavors.

As a young man, Royce proudly served as a Medic in the Army, an experience that shaped his character and illustrated his commitment to helping others. He was honorably discharged in 1964, carrying with him not only the pride of service but also memories of camaraderie and sacrifice.

Known for his artistic spirit, Royce had a passion for carving, creating intricate wooden figures of Indians, Cowboys, birds, and turtles. His meticulous attention to detail was evident in every piece he produced, which included beautiful wooden crosses that he carved for his Catholic Church. In addition to his artistry, he enjoyed spending time outside with nature, relishing in bike rides, hikes, and fishing. He also held fond memories of playing high school basketball, a sport that shaped his youth and fostered his competitive spirit.

Royce's legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Sue Chambers, who stood by his side through life’s joys and challenges. He cherished his two daughters, Joyce Foerster and Linda Halcomb, who brought him immense pride. Royce also embraced his role as a stepfather to Rhonda Glenn, Tim Carnes, Mary Gowin, and Kimberly Hart. Each of them carries pieces of his spirit and love, and they will surely remember him as a guiding light in their lives.

Throughout his life, Royce was actively involved in his community and faith. He served in the Masonic Temple, achieving an office that reflected his dedication. As a member of the 32nd Scottish Rite, he demonstrated a commitment to charitable works and connecting with his community that inspired those around him.

Royce was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph and Mark Chambers, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms as they reunited in peace.

A memorial service honoring Royce's life will take place on May 12, 2025, at the Menke Funeral & Cremation Center in Sun City, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to celebrate a life that was, in every sense, a testament to love, creativity, and a profound dedication to service.
