Royce Gene Ford

Royce Gene Ford, 84, of Westville, Indiana, passed away on October 29, 2023 at Northwest Health-La Porte.
Royce was born on February 13, 1939 in Sidney, AR to the late Lester and Alta (Willis) Ford.
On June 9, 1956, he married Retha Ford who precedes him in death. Surviving Royce are his 2 children, Jerry (Chris) Ford of Union Mills and Carol (Kevin) Martin of Westville; 4 grandsons, Eric (Jessica) Ford of La Porte, Adam Ford of Union Mills, Brandon Martin of La Porte, and Joshua Martin of MO; 2 great-grandchildren, Ava and Noah Ford; as well as numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Royce was a Baptist preacher as well as a tree trimmer, prior to his retirement. He was a founding member of Sawdust Trail Missionary Baptist Church. Royce enjoyed fishing and gardening. His family will fondly remember when Royce grew his own cotton plant, that grew taller than him!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday November 4, 2023 at Sawdust Trail Missionary Baptist Church, 405 N. Main St., Kingsbury, IN 46365 with Brother James Candler officiating. Private burial at Kingsbury Cemetery will take placed at a later date.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
