Royce Gene "Buddy" Williams

Royce Gene "Buddy" Williams moved from his earthly tent to his eternal home in heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ on November 10, 2023. Buddy was born on August 21, 1933 to James Elton and Era V Sims Williams in the Lost Prairie Community near Groesbeck, Texas. Buddy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. His career spanned 35 years with the Dow Chemical Company serving in many positions where his attention to detail and hard work ethic made him an asset to several different departments.
Left to cherish Buddy's memory is his wife of 62 years, Gaila Diann Williams; his sons Royce Kelley Williams and wife Jamie; James Troy Williams; John Stephen Williams and wife Tiffany; his grandchildren, Erica Williams, Madison Williams and Sergio Valenzuela Martinez, Carlo Busch Jr., Amber Williams, Brandi Williams, Zander Williams, Kyle Sewell, Yolanda Cooper, Jase Callis, Aiden Callis and Jacob Dorsey; his great grandchildren Isabelle, Maevis, Angela, Emily and Erin, and his great-great grandson Eli. Also, Buddy's sisters Yvonne Pierce, Carolyn Ann Stefka and husband Larry; brothers Farley Joe Williams and wife Gail, James Gaylon Williams and Eula Campbell.
Buddy is predeceased by daughter in law Tracy "Amy" Williams and his brother Nealon Williams.
Visitation will be Monday, November 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Stroud Funeral Home, 538 Brazosport Blvd, Clute, Texas. There will be no funeral at the request of Buddy. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 15th at 10:00 AM at the Lost Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Clifton Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, Clute, Texas or to charity of choice.
