It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roza Lina Gonzalez, 64, of Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 8, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Roza was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on September 26, 1961, and was the beloved daughter of the late Pablo and Olivia (Nieva) Gonzalez. Roza later made her home in Worcester, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
Roza was a hardworking woman who dedicated her life to helping others in healthcare and her children. As a single mother, she raised her family with strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. She was the kind of mother who never gave up, no matter how hard life got, and her children were always her greatest pride.
Roza found joy in being surrounded by her family. She loved cooking for the people she loved most, and her home was a place where everyone was fed, and cared for. She was especially known for her sweet potato pies, which became a signature in the family and something everyone looked forward to. She cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and laughter.
Roza is survived by her loving children, Soheila Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Roxsandra Wright Gonzalez, and Leanna Gonzalez; and her adored grandchildren, Sierra Simmons, Ramon Gonzalez, Za’Maiyah Gonzalez, Alicia Gonzalez, Makai Simmons, Caiden Rodriguez, Michaela Gonzalez, Nova Gonzalez, and Noah Gonzalez.
Roza is also survived by her beloved siblings, Pablo Jr. Gonzalez, Gudelina Dent, Carmen Gonzalez, Juanita Gonzales, Daisy Gonzalez, Grace Gonzalez, Diane Gonzalez, and her sister and best friend, Linda Gonzalez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Roza was predeceased by her siblings Sergio Gonzalez, Clatilda Dent, and Angel Gonzalez.
There are no words that can fully capture how deeply Roza will be missed. Her warm smile, selfless spirit, and beautiful soul are forever ingrained in the hearts of everyone who knew her. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her love will continue to live on through her children, her grandchildren, and every life she touched.
