Ruben Estupinan Estupinan

Ruben Estupinan, born on December 15, 1957, in Zacatecas, Mexico, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, in Washington, NC. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ruben's age of 66 years was filled with a deep appreciation for life and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
Ruben was a man who found joy and contentment in the simplest of things. He loved the outdoors and embraced the beauty of nature with open arms. Down to earth and unpretentious, he believed that nothing needed to be fancy to be truly valuable. Ruben's genuine nature was evident in his love for his family, especially his "Daddy's little girl," his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
One of Ruben's greatest pleasures was spending time with his family, particularly in his self-built workshop where he would create wondrous things alongside his grandsons. His passion for craftsmanship was matched only by his desire to impart wisdom and knowledge to the younger generation. Through this shared experience, he forged strong bonds that will forever be treasured.
Ruben had a heart that knew no limits. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering assistance to anyone in need without expecting anything in return. His selflessness and generosity left a permanent mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
One of Ruben's simple pleasures was embarking on rides down country roads, just to see what there was to see. This embodied his philosophy of seizing the moment and living life to the fullest. The motto "You Only Live Once" resonated with him, reminding everyone of the importance of embracing every opportunity and finding the beauty in each day.
Ruben will be deeply missed by his wife, Shirley Estupinan, their daughter Inocencia Vanderpool, and their extended family. He leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 9 sisters who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Ruben is preceded in death by his mother, Inocencia Espinoza, and his father, Glafero Estupinan.
In honoring Ruben's life, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
