Ruben George Fernandez

Ruben George Fernandez age 52 born on August 28, 1973 in Las Vegas, NM to George and Erlinda Fernandez. Ruben passed away on December 25, 2025 at home.

Ruben is preceded in death by his late wife Barbara Fernandez, paternal grandparents Alfredo and Maclovia Fernandez, maternal grandparents Melaquias and Crestina Padilla and his Nino Adelaido Romero.

Ruben is survived by his wife Alicia, children Carina, Karly (Josh), Manuel (Donika), Ruben "Brat" (Veronica), Isaiah, and mother of his eldest four children, Jesusita Smith, step-children Jessica, Raymond, Javier, Angel, and Cruzito. His parents George and Erlinda Fernandez, Brother Albino (Glenda), sister Rosemary (Rico), and Nina Priscilla Romero. His grandchildren JayLynn, JozLynn, Janaeya, Janessa, Jendell, Amyra, and his very 1st grandson to be born in June. Godchildren Nathan Trujillo, Zoe Maestas, Neil Romero, Payzley Lujan, and Efraim Fernandez. Nieces and nephews KaylaRose, Ahryanna, O'Ryan, Melaquias, and A'Kaies. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Rosary service will be recited on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00am both services will at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T. Interment will follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Cleveland, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers Manuel, Ruben "Brat" Jr., Isaiah, Albino, O'Ryan, Josh, Jodie, and Raymond. Honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren, godchildren, niece, nephews, Adelaido Jr., Daniel T., Anthony M., Jamie M., Nick B., John S., Charlie Q., Danny Q., Oliver M., Adam S., Carlos L., Gonzalo D., and Linda A. "The Boss".
