Ruben E. Luna

Ruben E. Luna, 71, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 3, 2026, in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Mr. Luna will lie in state beginning at 9 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to High Plains Hospice, 1600 Coulter St S Bldg. F, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.

Ruben was born January 9, 1955, in Amherst, Texas to Dan Luna and Ramona Espinosa Luna. He married Jo Ann Klaus on November 5, 1982, in Borger. Ruben enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, and going to the lake. He was an avid sports fan, but the Dallas Cowboys were his favorite. Ruben also enjoyed wrestling and did an amazing Rick Flare impersonation. In his younger years, taking family vacations in the motorhome brought him great happiness and memories. He enjoyed reading his bible scriptures daily and loved the Lord with all his heart. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Luna: parents, Ramona Maldanado and Ricky; son, Don Wilson; brother, Frank Seller; and son-in-law, Jeff Clark.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Luna of Borger; son, Ryan Luna and fiancé Bailley; daughters, Nikki Jackson and husband Bo, Chrissy Reasor and husband James, Kayla Clark; grandchildren, Camisha Burgardt, Destiney Wilson, Sean Clark, Wyatt Wilson, Auna Heard, Aidan Luna, Lily Reasor, Jake Reasor, Jaston Jackson, Samantha Jackson, Bobby Jackson, Santiago Luna, Angel Luna; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Ray Luna and wife Deena; sister, Lisa Davis; and a host of extended family.
