Ruby Jeanette Allen

Ruby Jeanette Allen, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 29, 1939, in Sharondale, Kentucky, Ruby spent her life embodying values of faith, love, and kindness.

A woman dedicated to her family, Ruby took immense pride in raising her daughters: Debra Kay Lannom, Kathy Lynn Willard, and Sarah Jane Travis. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her children but also to her grandchildren—Eddie P. Ross, Jr., Tyrone G. Newsome, Jimmy Allen Breitfeller, Jacob Andrew Breitfeller, Ashley Nicole Breitfeller, Jaymee Nicole Willard, and Joseph M. Cabanaw. Ruby was equally a proud great-grandmother to Apollo Newsome, Roman Newsome, Theodore Newsome, Arabella Breitfeller, Jimmy Breitfeller, Jr., Oaklyn Turner, Zy'mier, and Zi'mora.

Ruby’s personality was characterized by her unwavering faith and her commitment to care for those around her. She was a great cook and an immaculate housekeeper, always ensuring that her home was a comforting haven. Her willingness to lend a helping hand made her a treasured presence in the lives of many. She loved spending time in her garden and tending to her beautiful flower beds, which perfectly reflected the warmth she radiated. Ruby cherished being involved with her church community and found joy in the fellowship it brought her.

Last year, one of Ruby's happiest moments was taking a ride on her son-in-law's motorcycle, showing her adventurous spirit and zest for life. Ruby was saved and baptized in her early 20s, a pivotal moment that shaped her devoted life of faith.

Ruby is survived by her loving daughters, her entire family, and friends who were touched by her kindness. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Earl McGuire; her mother, Sarah Jane Varney; her husband, Eudell Allen; sister, Lillian Prosser; and brother, Ronnie Dean McGuire.

Her warmth, laughter, and love will be sorely missed, but her spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ruby's life. Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest in Grove City, OH, on November 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Viewing will take place the following day, November 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the start of her funeral service at 12:00 PM.
