Ruby Austin Obituary
Ms. Ruby Clark Austin, age 93, of Clarkston, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her residence.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. Following visitation, funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in McKendree Chapel Church Cemetery.
Ruby was born on March 3, 1932 in Franklin, KY to the late Vinnie B. Clark and Sally Matthews Clark. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Clark, and four sisters, Martha Walker, Leona Gass, Jenny Belle Rogers, and Josephine Clark.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Austin Santa of Clarkston, GA; grandson, Shaun Thomas Whitmer of Decatur, GA; and great-grandson, Oliver Thomas Whitmer.
Ruby retired from JC Penney's and had worked in Hopkinsville and Bowling Green, KY. She also retired from Simpson Elementary School here in Franklin where she worked in the cafeteria.
