Ruby Bassinger Obituary
She was born on November 10, 1943, in Rowan County to the late Mary Deal McDaniel and George Washington McDaniel.
Carol was a student at Boyden High School and later at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She loved traveling and visiting the beach often. She adored and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was a wonderful cook.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Ronald "Ronnie" Bassinger; siblings Priscilla Winecoff (Fred), Marvin McDaniel (Sylvia), and Janet Collins; sister-in-law JoAnn McDaniel; children Sherry Bassinger Fetters (Mark) of Summerfield and Melissa Basssinger Ratterree (David) of Colfax; grandchildren Parker Fetters of Summerfield, Rylan Fetters of Summerfield, Ben Ratterree of Brooklyn, NY, Brooke Ratterree Stencavage (Eric) of Jacksonville, FL, Bailey Ratterree of Charleston< SC, and Brittany Ratterree of Gastonia; and her great-grandchild Payton Monroe Fetters Hall of Summerfield.
In keeping with Carol's wishes, there will be no memorial service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Glen Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
