Ruby Lee Blansett

Ruby Lee Blansett, 80, or better known as "Granny", of Booneville, Mississippi, made it home on the evening of December 2, 2025. Ruby was born on July 2, 1945, to her parents, Elbert and Clara (Whittington) Cain. Ruby was a precious jewel, one of a kind and like no other. She was full of life and loved to laugh. She met the love of her life, Donald Blansett. On July 2, 1964, Donald and Ruby were married. She never met a stranger and left a legacy that can never be filled. Granny was adopted as "Granny" to many children throughout the years. Granny had a big personality and her love for her family will forever be in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Blansett; her brothers, George Cain, James Cain, and Billy Cain; and her sisters, Viola Jordan and Annie Sheilds.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Becky Taylor (James) of Booneville, MS; her honorary daughter, Kelly Popejoy of Eudora, AR; and her sister, Edith Blansett (Raymond) of Eudora, AR; her grandchildren, Phillip Taylor (Kimberly) of Booneville, MS, Nikki Taylor of Booneville, MS, and Chelsea Stout (Daniel) of Baldwyn, MS; her great great grandchildren, Nick, Chariley, Addy, Willow, and Kevin; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
Pallbearers are Terry Nichols, Michael Woodall, Chandler Nichols, Justin Johnson, Zac Yee, and Jared Yee.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, immediately following, will be a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. with Brother Kenneth Watt officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR, under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home.
