Ruby Elizabeth Ceradsky was born on May 5,1940, in Trenton, Missouri to Ruth Geraldine Hamilton Woods and Sherman Eugene Woods. She lived in Mercer County and attended Princeton, Missouri High School and graduated in May of 1958.

She entered into rest on September 3, 2025 at Linden Woods Village in Gladstone, Missouri after having some health issues.

She married Garland Eugene Ceradsky on August 3, 1958 and 3 children were born into this union: Beverly Lea, Ollie Christina, and Garland Dewayne. Elizabeth was a homemaker until she lost her husband in an accident in April of 1974. She then attended classes to become an EMT and worked on the ambulance in Bethany, Missouri.

Her dream had always been to become a nurse, her dream came true when she was able to attend Trenton Junior College where she obtained her LPN license in August of 1977. She went on to work for the Hospital in Bethany, Missouri.

In 1982 she decided to move to Kansas City to be closer to her children. She went to work for the NKC hospital and worked there for 25 years, she then went to work for the St Luke's Hospital in Smithville, Missouri until retirement. Following retirement she moved back to Harrison County to be near her parents who were getting along in years. Later she would return to Kansas City again to be close to her family.

Elizabeth grew up listening to the Cardinals on the radio with Grandpa Hade. She then became one of the biggest fans of the Kansas City Royals and of course the Kansas City Chiefs. The residents at Linden Woods would often laugh as they heard her yelling for her teams whether they were doing good or bad. Her grandchildren often asked her just how many bad words did you say grandma and tell her that she needed a swear jar and add a quarter every time she said a curse word needless to say some games were better than others.

Elizabeth was a member of Linden Baptist Church in Gladstone, Missouri. She was also a member of the Cornelia Beekman DAR Chapter in Princeton, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene; mother; father; brother (Richard); sister (Wanda); and son in law (Michael). She is survived by daughters, Beverly Palmer of Poplar Bluff, MO, Christina Selig (Hank) of Kansas City, MO; son, Garland Ceradsky (Donna) of Minburn, lA; brother, Phillip Woods of Princeton, MO; grandsons, Aaron Palmer, Justin Selig (Lindsay), and Ryan Selig (Corrie); granddaughters Madison Zimmerman (Cole) and Jamison Ceradsky (Brady Sanders, Fiancé); great grandchildren, Harper, Jordan, Eloise, and Jesse; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home, 1107 S. 25th St. Bethany, MO 64424. A visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
