Linda Kay Sherer

1952-2025

Princeton, MO: Linda Kay Sherer, 73, of Princeton, MO (formerly of Ridgeway, MO) passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was born on March 3, 1952, in Bethany, MO, to Garvin and Emma (Marsh) Osmon.

On July 18, 1971, she married the love of her life, Mike Sherer. Together they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with one son, Brad. Mike preceded her in death on October 27, 2017.

A 1970 graduate of South Harrison High School, Linda and Mike lived in Grant City and later South Dakota before eventually settling back in Bethany. Linda worked at Dairy Queen before beginning a long and dedicated career at Harrison County Community Hospital, where she made many lifelong friends before retiring on December 19, 2019 after 28 years of service.

Linda deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She shared a special bond with her sister Ronda, and the two enjoyed countless trips and hours shopping together – one of Linda's favorite pastimes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; her grandson, Gaige Sherer; her parents, Garvin and Emma Osmon; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Osmon, Saundra Campbell, and Becky Morin; her grandparents; and her parents-in-law, Allen and Lavesta (House) Sherer.

Linda is survived by her son, Brad (Tara) Sherer, Ridgeway, MO; grandchildren, Kaylee Sherer, Gardner, KS, and Dylan (Claire) Hobbs, Ridgeway, MO; great grandchildren, Havok, Blaine, and Uriyah Hobbs, Ridgeway, MO; siblings, Larry (Joan) Osmon, Albany, MO, Dean (Darlene) Osmon, Butch (Paula) Osmon, Randy (Cheryl) Osmon, Ron (Rita) Osmon, and Ronda (Jack) Dube, all of Bethany, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In recent years, Linda made her home at Pearl's II Nursing Home, where she was lovingly cared for by a compassionate staff who became like family. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Pearl's II and the Harrison County Hospice team for their outstanding care and kindness.

Linda will be remembered for her loving spirit, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 3 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Kirk Cemetery, Allendale, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gaige Sherer Memorial Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
