I did not have the pleasure of meeting Ruby until my mother also became a resident of Beth Sholom Home. I always wished I could have met Ruby years ago, she was such a truly beautiful person. My life was enriched by knowing her. My heartfelt sympathies to her children and their families.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Dear Carla:
In only the short time that I have known you I have always been impressed with the deep love and devotion you had for your mother. She must have been an outstanding Mother to have raised a daughter who cared so much for her and sacrificed as well for her wellbeing. God will grant you peace and love and strength to face the challenges that are ahead and be with you all the way. My love and deepest sympathy are with you and your family at this time. I miss your enthusiastic spirit as it helped me just being around you and I know this is tough but the wonderful memories your times together have made will last forever and they are a precious possession no one can take away.

Dear Carla,
My deepest and sincere condolences to you in the loss of your mother. Your mother was truly a gracious and loving person, one whom I have admired for years. She truly loved you with all her being and showed it in the way in which she quietly molded you into the young woman you are today. I will always remember her as your mother and as the teacher across the hall from me.
Look to God for your strength during this time. He will always be there.
