Ruby LeBlanc Cortez, 95, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Monday, November 11th from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel M. Cortez (Pam) and Kenneth J. Cortez; three daughters, Christine C. Grabert (Bobby), Kim Cortez (Debbie) and Robin C. Guidry (Perry); 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Cortez; companion, Henry Zeringue Jr.; parents, Robert T. LeBlanc and Elvira Chiasson LeBlanc; siblings, Irene L. Folse, Bessie L. Adams, Jenny L. Adams, Jessie LeBlanc, Mae Ruth L. Knight.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Broadway Elder Care and Living for their care and compassion.
