Ruby Ward Egner

Ruby Ward Egner, 79 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home.
Ruby was born in Bledsoe, Kentucky on April 2, 1946 to the late John Henry Ward and Ella Mae Wilson Ward. She worked in the billing department of Western Baptist Hospital and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, David Egner; three sons, James Farley (McKenzie) of Paducah, KY, Patrick Egner (Melissa) of Calvert City, KY and Lynn Egner (Ellie) of Gilbertsville, KY; daughter, Christy Jenkins of Calvert City, KY; brothers, Bill Ward (Dot) of Virginia, Buck Ward (Cathy) of Harlan, KY and Bob Ward of Middlesboro, KY; sister, Diane Theiland (Ed) of Big Lakes, MN; six grandchildren, Case Crabtree, Ethan Farley (Stefani), Justin Farley (Ashley), Gracie Egner, Luke Egner, Shelby Johnson (Ryan); and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Farley and Adelynn Grace Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Parkridge; two brothers; and her parents.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Danny Ferrell officiating.
Interment will follow in Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church.
