Ruby Francis Hatcher Younce 11/12/39 -10/11/25 passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. She was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother whose quiet strength and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Born to Luther and Beulah Hatcher, Ruby grew up with a deep sense of family and faith that carried her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Younce, her daughter, Donna Younce, and brothers, Anderson Hatcher, Cecil Hatcher and Walter Hatcher.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Presley (Neal Ownsby), her granddaughter, Mandi Miles (Onofrio Meli), brothers Ed and Gene Hatcher, and sister Betty Hatcher Maples. Her family and friends will forever cherish her kindness, humor, and unconditional love. To her family, Ruby was not just a grandmother and mother — she was a steady light, a source of comfort, and a reminder of what it means to love fully and without reservation.
Her legacy lives on in the countless memories she created — in shared laughter, warm meals, and the lessons she quietly taught by example. She will be deeply missed, but her presence will remain felt in every act of love and grace that she inspired.
A special thank you to Brookdale Assisted Living, Caris Hospice, and Rocky Top Care Center for their care and support.
