Ruby Seabaugh Hester, of Chaffee, Missouri was reunited with Bob in heaven on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 99 years old. She was born on march 23, 1926 to the late Amon and Dolly Smith Seabaugh in Whitewater, Missouri.
Ruby worked at the Chaffee Shoe Factory from her youth until 1966.
On November 17, 1943 she was united in marriage to Bobby Hester of Chaffee. They were happily married 77 years before Bob passed away in 2021.
Ruby was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church God of Prophecy in Delta and spent her time working in her flower beds, gardening, and helping Bob on the farm. The hardest part of her life was raising 8 children that she loved deeply.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Hester of Jackson, Gary (Brenda) Hester of Chaffee, Robert (Lisa) Hester of Bell City, Missouri; five daughters, Joyce Baker of Collinsville, Texas, Paula Roberts of Cape Girarde4au, Missouri, Julia (Dave) Woodruff of Rosser, Texas, Susan Hester and Denise (Bud) Haislip both of Chaffee; 13 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; and born last year 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Gibbons of Leopold, Missouri; all of whom she loved very deeply.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law, Dale Baker and Ronnie Roberts; 1 sister-in-law, Nancy Hester, 2 sister, 2 infant sister, and 5 brothers.
During hard and good times, crying and laughing, her faith in God, devotion to her church and love of her family kept Ruby going for 99 wonderful years.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Freeland officiating. Interment will follow at the Kenyon Cemetery in Delta, Missouri.
Family has requested that memorials may be made to: New Life Fellowship Church God of Prophecy or Kenyon Cemetery Fund both of Delta, Missouri.
