Funeral services for Gayle Jenkins will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA, with Bro. Jeff Masters officiating and Interment following at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
Ruby Gayle Jenkins was born July 27, 1956, in Wisner, LA to the union of her parents Bill and Barbara Floyd Rider, and she passed from this life on October 9, 2022, at her residence in Grayson. Gayle was a devoted wife, mother, mimi, and friend. She loved her family and cherished every minute spent with them. Gayle had a loving heart, with a great sense of humor. Everybody knew she lived life to the fullest. Gayle loved gardening, shopping, and QVC.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry Rider and Billy Rider; father and mother-in-law, M. H. and Patricia Jenkins; and a good friend, Tim Hitt. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of thirty-nine years, David Jenkins; son, Nicky Gilmore; daughter, Danette Gilmore; brothers, Gary Rider (Kay), John Rider (Pat); sisters, Bobbie Harrison, Cookie Nelson (James), and Joyce Jenkins (Alan); brother-in-law, Malcomb Jenkins; grandchildren, Kailea Gilmore, and Hannah Briscoe (Josh); great-grandchildren, Norah Gilmore, Peyton Nguyen, Joseph Briscoe, and Brylee Briscoe, along with a host of family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gavin Jenkins, Easy Rider, J.J. Jenkins, Layton Adams, John Rider, and Sammy Shipp.
