Coolidge, Georgia – Ruby Decie Carlton Knight, 94, of Coolidge, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Legacy Village Plantation Manor, Thomasville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Lee Powell officiating. Private family interment will be at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Pavo, Georgia.
The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born May 9, 1931, in Coolidge, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Harley Miles Carlton and the late Eulalah Maebelle Parker Carlton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Knight; son, Lee Knight; sisters, Lanette Thompson and Iris Hortman; brother, Harley Lamar Carlton.
She was a talented beautician, was a faithful member at Enon Baptist Church for many years and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her son, Andy Knight and wife Janet; grandchildren, Sarah Barwick and husband Jimmy, Gabe Knight and wife Stacy; great-grandchildren, Ashton Barwick, Meghan Barwick, Carson Barwick, Albree Knight Norton and Ava Knight; daughter-in-law, Brenda Knight; special niece, Karen Crosby; as well as several other nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
