Ruby Miear Obituary
She was born on April 6, 1929 in Bedford County, daughter of the late Alton and Lenna Langford.
Ruby loved the color blue, cooking, sewing, and butterflies.
In addition to her husband Bruce, she was preceded in death by one sister, Clara Page, and three brothers: Morris Langford, Perry Langford, and Herbert Langford.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa M. Martin, and her husband Davis S. Martin. Ruby has three grandchildren, Todd Fisher, Rodney Fisher (Shannon), and Anna Martin. Also surviving are three great grandchildren: Raven Martin, Alysa Fisher, and Randal Fisher. Ruby's nieces and nephews include Donald Cheatham, Ray Langford, Linda Evans and Joanne Hepler. Ruby is also survived by Susan Hamlette.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Timothy Dooley, Sr. presiding. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials in Ruby's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 2050 Langhorne Rd # 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
