Ruby Jackson Moore, 91, passed away on March 18, 2024. She was born to Ruth and Virgil Eaton January 22, 1933, in Midland, Tx. Ruby graduated from Colorado City High School in 1950. On June 12, 1953, she married Billy Ray Jackson and had 2 children. Billy Ray died on July 18, 1978. Ruby married Raymond Moore on January 30, 1980. She remained a resident of Colorado City and a member of First Baptist Church until 1997 when she moved to San Angelo, TX.
The two most important things in Ruby's life were the Lord Jesus Christ and her precious family. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took great delight in following their accomplishments and prayed for each one by name daily. Ruby was an accomplished homemaker filled with hospitality. She enjoyed hosting Life Groups and having friends over for a friendly game of canasta. Many weekends found her house filled with young people brought home from college by her kids. She was a great cook, seamstress and gardener. After moving to San Angelo, she lived at the Baptist Memorial Retirement Center where she was a longtime volunteer. Ruby's life centered around her love for people.
Ruby is survived by her two children, Dan Jackson and spouse Debbie and daughter Mitzi Davis and spouse John: two stepchildren, Mike Moore and Carolyn Graves. She had 11 grandchildren, Brad Jackson, Stephanie Stowell, Zachary Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jeff Moore, Andy Moore, Matthew Graves, Amy Bitty, Brad Kieschnick, Layne Kieschnick and Beth Ann Crawford and 18 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Brad Jackson, Zachary Davis, Jonathan Davis, Layne Kieschnick, Seth Stowell and Andy Moore.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Christian Church of San Angelo. A burial will follow immediately following the service at Colorado City Cemetery in Colorado City, TX.
