RUBY MAE PIERRE passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of ninety-seven. She is survived by: Son and spouse, Reginald J. and Aletha S. Jordan (Augusta, GA); daughter and spouse, Yolanda B. and Stanley Burds; grandchildren: Kietra Winn (Brian), Tabeeka Thierry (Overton, Esq.), Esop Jordan (Kellie) and Kali Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Jamal, Jeremy (Brionna), Jonathan Jordan, and Aria Caldwell. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents: Alex and Laura Pierre; sisters: Evelyn Gaskin, Irma Curry, Alma Reed, Albertha Pierre, and Hilda Holloman; and brothers: Webster, James, Joseph, and Junius Pierre. Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, for 9:00 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 2319 Third Street, New Orleans, LA 70113.
