Ruby J. Reed of New Holland, a beloved wife of Leslie G. Reed, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 94.
Ruby was born July 18, 1930, in Cliton County, Ohio to Fred and Carrie (Culler) Mongold. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and strength. Ruby dedicated her life to her family. She found Joy in gardening, sewing, and baking.
Ruby is survived by her children, Ken (Kathy) Reed of Wisconsin, Robert (Cherrie) Reed of Washington Court House, Roger (Melody) Reed of Sabina, Michael Reed of Bloomingburg, Jeff (Becky) Reed of New Holland, Fred (Jayda) Reed of Wisconsin, and two sisters, Mary Boggs of Sabina, and Viola Reed of Springfield, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Dorothy Woods, Betty McMorrow, Wilma Mongold, and by brothers, Lucine, Leroy, and Alonzo Mongold.
A funeral is planned for 1 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Joe Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11am until the start of the service.
