Ruby Alice Reynolds

Ruby Alice Reynolds, 80, of Lubbock, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 11, 2026.

Ruby was born to Ellis Charles and Olga Mae Reynolds on April 3, 1945, in Corsicana, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ronald Reynolds and Wesley Reynolds. She is survived by her sister, Sarah (Bill) of Lubbock, TX; her brother, Ellis (Carolyn) Reynolds of Searcy, AR; Rebecca Reynolds of Weatherford, TX; and her dear childhood friend, Dorothy Kelley of Nacogdoches, TX. Ruby is also remembered fondly by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ruby spent most of her life in Nacogdoches, TX, where she owned and operated Talk of the Country Hair Salon for over 40 years. The salon grew into more than just a business; it became a place where many friendships were formed and where laughter and tears were freely shared. Ruby was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. She founded the WD-40 (Women Divorced and Widowed over 40) group, through which she ministered to and supported other women. The group met faithfully for 15 years, providing friendship, encouragement, and fellowship to many in the community.

In recognition of her years of service and dedication to others, February 1, 2018, was officially declared "Ruby Reynolds Day" in Nacogdoches. Ruby earned the admiration and affection of many residents who were proud to call her their neighbor and friend. She was known for her servant's heart, her deep faith in the Lord, and her remarkable ability to make others feel loved, welcomed, and never alone. Her kindness, faith, and joyful spirit touched countless lives and will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
