Obituary For Ruby L Sharkey
Ruby Lee Sharkey was born to the late Hosea and Carrie Lee Rimmer Kimbrough on January 14, 1945. She received her formal education through the Buffalo and Kosciusko School System.
Ruby accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Mt. Vernon Church, Sweet Pilgrim Church and she later became a member of Pleasant Hill M.B. Church. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Howard Sharkey, Sr. and to this union two children were born.
Ruby worked at many jobs such as Garan, Monfort Jones Hospital, Sunflower Food Store, and Windols Barbeque. She retired from the Kosciusko Police Department. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Sharkey, Sr., Sister: Willie Mallett, two sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and two grandsons.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memories, a loving son, Howard (Gladys) Sharkey; a loving daughter, Debra Fleming both of Kosciusko, MS; three sisters, Earlene Henderson, Kosciusko, MS; Hattie McLourin, Sallis, MS; Annette (Jerry) Kern, Kosciusko, MS; two brothers, Ben (Alice) Kimbrough, Kosciusko, MS; Hosea (Tricha) Kimbrough, Milwaukee, WI; four grandchildren, Demario, Jazmine, Erica, and Terrain all of Kosciusko, MS; 16 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memories to her long lifetime friends Bessie and Lonnie Peeler.
