Funeral service for Ruby Stone, age 91, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Spence Chapel – First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Sam Johnson, Shane Stone, James Imhoff, Mike Petty, Jeff Orwosky, and Jose Moreno serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Sam Stone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Stone passed away on July 12, 2025 in Kempner, Texas.
Ruby was born on January 24, 1934 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Robert Lee and Eva Mae (Hughes) Hill. She married Aulbert P. Stone on September 18, 1954 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2015. Ruby owned and operated a dairy farm alongside her husband. She was a member of the First Baptist Church – Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her son Stephen Stone and wife, Cyndi Chapman-Stone; grandsons, Samuel Stone, Shane Stone and James Kyler Imhoff.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Preston Stone, and three brothers, Reginald Hill, Henry Hill and Andy Hill.
