Ruby Taylor, 89, of Oakville went to be safely in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1935 in Oneida TN, a daughter to the late Mitchell Charlie and Charity (Miller) Foster.
Ruby was a 1955 graduate of Cowan High School. She retired from RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics in Indianapolis. Ruby loved animals, especially dogs and she donated to many causes especially to SPCA. She held a soft spot in her heart for veterans. For many years, Ruby and Bob enjoyed traveling and camping.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” Taylor of Oakville; brother, Wayne (Maria) Foster of Springport; nieces and nephews, Samantha (Chris) Grimm of Jeffersonville, Jama (Jan) Richmond of Daleville, Kent Foster of Dayton, OH, Tom (Deb) Foster of Carmel, Wendy Foster of Indianapolis, Jason (Rose) Foster of Lafayette, Rachel (Austin) Weiland of Muncie, Hanna Foster of Baltimore, MD; close friends, Melanie Beall of Muncie and Paula Simmons of Muncie and Joyce Robinson of Oakville.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her siblings, Lee Foster, Kenneth Foster, Gene Foster and Hobert Foster.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown. Visitation will be from 12:00pm Tuesday until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Rescue Fund, 1209 W Riggins Rd. Muncie, IN 47303.
