Ruby Walker Obituary

Rubina "Ruby" Walker, resident of Newfield, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the age of 89.
Born to Harry and Ella (nee Cameron) Lunemann on January 7th, 1934. Ruby grew up and fell in love with her best friend Lynn Walker Sr., the pair got married when she turned 18, and had been together for 58 years until his passing in 2011. Through Lynn being a US Army Veteran, Ruby developed a love and respect for the veterans of our country. She was a giver, someone who was compassionate with those around her even if it came off as "tough love", those closest to her can recall how she would donate to our Armed Forces and Police force, even handmaking blankets to send to the veterans. Ruby loved to be outside, especially camping with her family at Holly Green Camp where she spent most of her days. During the holidays, Ruby made a bonding experience for her family, such as having her daughter Ruby make the Pizzelles, and baking snowman shaped sugar cookies. Ruby loved listening to music, such as Elvis, and Conway Twitty.
Ruby is remembered fondly by her son Lynn (Susan) Walker Jr., Ruby (Till) Simone, niece Valerie Olsen, grandchildren Lynn Walker III, Robert (Kim) Walker, Steven (Marie) McGroarty, Sherry (Jeff) McGroarty, Chris Mazzoni, Mike Mazzoni, Emily Mazzoni, Amanda (Brandon) Jardel, Stephen Jardel, and Autumn Mazzoni, great-grandchildren Brandon Walker, Felicia (Mattew) Harrison, Rebecca McGroarty, Delaney Fretz, Ryan Fretz, Lily Schulke, Haidyn Schulke, and Willow Schulke, and great-great-grandchildren Ryder and Luna Harrison.
Predeceased by her siblings Raymond Lunemann, William Lunemann, Richard Lunemann, and Jeanette Anderson-Stinsman, and granddaughter Tori Fox.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM in the chapel of McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Sewell, NJ.
