Jay P. Hill, age 51, passed away on July 21, 2025. He was raised in West Deptford and graduated from West Deptford High School in 1991. In 2000, he earned his Associate's Degree from Gloucester County College. Jay spent his entire life in West Deptford, where he made many lifelong friends and was always willing to be a helpful neighbor.

Jay began his career in the security industry as a warehouse manager, working his way up at various companies, with his most recent position as a Regional Solutions Specialist at Accu-Tech. He loved to stay active in his community, as a pageant dad and coaching his daughters in West Deptford Softball and Basketball. In addition, he enjoyed DJing at various events. Jay was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Quinton Sportsman Gun Club. Jay's love of guns led him to be a certified handgun instructor.

A few years ago, Jay purchased a 1966 Chevy Nova, which he enjoyed working on. This passion led him to become the founder of the Monday's in Mantua Car Organization. Most recently, Jay took great pleasure in taking over the position as the Dockmaster at Nob's Boat Ramp. He always enjoyed spending time on his pontoon boat with his family and friends on the water

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara M. Hofbauer; daughters, Morgan Nichole Hill and Maggie Elizabeth Hill; his parents, Jane E. (Oldt) and Nob Hill Jr.; brother Glenn Hill; father-in-law Joseph Hofbauer; aunt Nancy Hill; uncles Michael "Mick" Hill, Jim Oldt, and Jeff Oldt; and his beloved pets, cat Nala and dog Daisy

Friends and loved ones are invited to join the family in remembrance of Jay for a Celebration of his Life on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Avenue, Woodbury, NJ. A service will follow at 12 PM. To honor Jay's laid-back style, please dress casually as he would have wanted.
