Mrs. Ruby Octie Hicks Williams, age 83, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at her home.

Born May 3, 1942 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Fulton and Willie Martin Hicks.

Mrs. Williams was a waitress at Linda's Place, and was of the Baptist faith.

Family members include her daughters, Tammie Williams and Kim Williams (Ben); grandchildren, Joseph Adams, Tailor Lewallen, Blake Lewallen, Ashley Lawton and Mariah Cottrell; great-grandchild, Karson Cottrell; and brothers, Ed Hicks and, Maurice Hicks (Janice).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claudell Holcomb Williams; son, Johnny Lewallen; daughters, Patsy Lewallen and Linda Adams; grandson, Thomas Benjamin Adams; sisters, Bobbie Greene, Betty Belvin, Dorothy Reed and Francis Moore; and brothers, Bill Hicks, Ray Hicks and Wade Hicks.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 – 1:45pm Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at Roselane Cemetery at two o'clock Tuesday, October 14, 2025 with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating.

Burial will follow.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bryan Hicks, Jason Hicks, Blake Williams, Rodney Weaver, Duston Cottrell and Joseph Adams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Whitlock Mortuary to help with final expenses.
