Ruby Ziehlsdorf passed away on September 21, 2023 at age 80. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Gordon Lee and Brother Danny Sellars, is 11 am. Monday, September 25, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Wilson County Memorial. Pallbearers: Tommy Pearson, Slade Jenkins, Tony Walls, Jason Pruitte, Bill McNutt, and Jerimy Pruitte. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
Ruby Evelene Pruitte Ziehlsdorf was born in Lebanon TN to Mollie Pruitt and Alonzo Pruitte. She married the love of her life and her best friend and companion, Bernard Zielsdorf Sr. and together they raised not only two children, but they helped found and nurture the Mt. Juliet Church of God. Ruby was a devoted Pastor's wife who loved sharing the ministry through her gift of cooking. She also worked in the assembly line at Toshiba.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bernie Ziehlsdorf Sr., children Bernard Ziehlsdorf Jr. and Debbie McNeece, honorary daughters Lisa Walls and Trish Watson, honorary grandson Slade Jenkins, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Mollie and Alonzo Pruitte, brothers Charles, Howard, Jimmy, Wallace, and Willis Pruitte, sisters Betty Smith, Faye Calhoun, Katherine Gann, Margaret Smith, and Pauline Pearson.
