Rubye Gean Obituary
Rubye Goff Gean was born on October 1, 1926 in Saltillo, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Loran Wylie and Vida Smith Goff.
On December 16, 1945, she was united in marriage to George Gilbert Gean, who preceded his wife in death on February 23, 2007.
Mrs. Gean had worked for Parsons Shirt Factory, Brown Shoe Company, Fred's Dollar Store, and the Hardin County Board of Education. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Rubye loved playing the piano, gardening, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Rubye Goff Gean departed this life on December 14, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 97 years, 2 months, and 13 days.
Rubye is survived by her daughters, Vicky Bromley and her husband Albert and Myra Blount; son, Farrell Gean and his wife Virginia; grandchildren, Ondie Mitchell and Jarrod Bromley, and his wife Brittany; great grandchildren, Cade Mitchell, Macy Bromley, Millie Bromley, and Libby Bromley; and niece, Jan Beard.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rubye was preceded in death by her sister, Billie Beard.
