Rubye Hall Meders, 94, of Omega, Ga, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Smith assisted by Mr. Greg Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery. Tate Meders, Ronnie Weeks, Henry Meders, Cohen Weeks, Danny Erskine, Brayden Erskine, Ben Meders, and Ian Stephens will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born on February 27, 1931, in Brantley County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Tom Bunyon Hall and Florence Carter Hall. Mrs. Meders had a heart for serving others and a love for the simple joys of life. She found peace in her garden, tending to every plant with care, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Always willing to lend a hand, she was known for her kindness and her willingness to do for others without ever expecting anything in return. She faithfully served as the church clerk for 40 years and was an active member of the Omega City Council, where she worked tirelessly for her community. She also played a key role in shaping local tradition as the founder of the Omega Pepper Festival, a legacy that continues to bring people together year after year. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Felton Meders; son, Steve Meders; brother, Cecil Hall; and sisters, Bessie Hall, Mary Corbitt, and Annie Martin.
Mrs. Meders is survived by her son, Doug Meders and Angie of Omega; daughter, Joy Lott of Omega; daughter-in-law, Janet Meders of Sparks; grandchildren, Danny Erskine and wife Shannon, Karen Stephens and husband Ian, Mindy Lott, Tai Weeks and husband Ronnie, Tate Meders and wife Marki, Shaye Kohler and husband Michael, Kisha Moody and husband Matt, Ben Meders; great-grandchildren, Alana Erskine, Madison Erskine, Brayden Erskine, Ree Donoho and husband Evan, Ella Daniel, Nathan Boatner, Eli Boatner, Cohen Weeks, Cailee Weeks, Louleigh Meders, Henry Meders, Rubi Meders, Renna Meders, Adelynn Kohler, Ander Kohler, Logan Rowe, Jake Moody, Josh Moody, Enalia Meders, Ivy Meders; great-great-grandchildren, Haisley Boatner, Dehlani Mathis; and several nieces and nephews.
