Rudolph Aranda Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Foran Funeral Home - Summit on Mar. 7, 2026.
Rudolph "Rudy" Aranda Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was the beloved son of Antoinette "Tonia" Aranda and the late Rudolph Aranda Sr.

Rudy was the dear brother of the late Debra Aranda and Diana (Joseph) Avila. He was a loving uncle to Joseph D. Avila and Jacob (Elizabeth Ana) Avila, and a great-uncle to Alexxander and Rocky.

He was also the dear brother of Kenneth (Corrine) Aranda. Rudy was a loving uncle to David (Sarah) Aranda, and a great-uncle to Benjamin, Daniel, and Isabel. He was an loving uncle to Debra (Josh) Ramon, and a great-uncle to Xavier and Sienna. Rudy was also the loving uncle of Kenneth Jr. (Candida) Aranda, and a great-uncle to Azusena, Annemarie, Magdalena, and Adrianna.

Rudy began his professional career at Leo Burnett, the renowned Chicago-based global advertising agency. He later worked for Waste Management before continuing his career with U.S. Cellular. In 2012, Rudy relocated from Chicago to Atlanta, Georgia, where he continued his work in technical support. Despite physical challenges throughout his life, Rudy remained dedicated to his work and took great pride in his career.

Throughout his life, Rudy embodied the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He faced life's challenges with love, courage, dignity, and pride.

Rudy had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to the timeless voices of Johnny Mathis and Frank Sinatra. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed cheering on his team whenever he could. One of Rudy's favorite places was Uncle Julio's, where he was such a regular that they could easily have had a table reserved with his name on it.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 11:30 a.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street, just west of Harlem). A procession will follow to St. Mary Cemetery, where Rudy will be laid to rest beside his father.

Rudy is also lovingly remembered by his extended family, including aunts, uncles, and many cousins, who will cherish his memory.

May he now rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies for the Armada family during these difficult times. I moved to Atlanta with Rudy for the At&t job, Rudy and I had to explore our new neighborhood together and those were some of the most interesting times in my life! Rudy was a good friend and full of laughs speaking with him, those precious moments will be missed. I'll never forget him telling me his life story, details and all... He was a man of self-determination and integrity. I am grateful to have crossed paths with Rudy, may he rest peacefully. You are missed good buddy!
