Rudolph A. Branton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85 in Rockledge, Florida. Born on March 21, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina, Rudolph grew up with a deep love for the coastal waters that would shape much of his life.

Rudolph met his beloved wife, Judy L. (Lucas) Branton, later in life, and together they shared a loving marriage of 14 years, filled with laughter, companionship, and mutual respect. His dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband.

Answering the call of duty, Rudolph proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard for six years, a period of service that instilled in him a sense of discipline, honor, and a love for the sea that remained with him throughout his life. After his military service, he embarked on a career as a television repairman, a trade that showcased his technical acumen and problem-solving skills.

Rudolph was a man of many interests, but perhaps none were as dear to him as his love for the water. He was an avid fisherman and shrimper, often found casting a line or setting nets, reveling in the tranquility and excitement that the waters off the Florida coast provided. His passion for maritime activities extended to his work as a HAM radio operator, where he connected with fellow enthusiasts across the globe, sharing stories and forging friendships.

His commitment to service and community was unwavering. Rudolph was a dedicated Mason for over 50 years, embodying the fraternity's values of brotherhood, truth, and charity. His lifetime memberships at the Elks Lodge, Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and American Legion stand as a testament to his unwavering commitment to fellowship and civic duty.

Rudolph's legacy is one of unwavering love, service, and community involvement. His life's journey was marked by the bonds he forged, the lives he touched, and the waters he so loved. As we say farewell to Rudolph A. Branton, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of purpose and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire us, like the eternal ebb and flow of the tides he so cherished.
