Rudolph Samuel Kelly Sr., affectionately known as "Tim" or "Kelly," passed away peacefully at Advent Health Hospital on December 18, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on September 12, 1949, in Golden Grove, St. Thomas, Jamaica, to Charles Kelly and Thelma (Cinderella) Green, Rudolph's lifelong passion for automobiles began as a primary student in Palmers Cross, Clarendon.
An ambitious and adventurous spirit, Rudolph left Jamaica at age 18 to seek opportunities in Freeport, Bahamas. Despite a workplace accident that resulted in the loss of two fingers, he persevered in his craft before migrating to the United States in the early 1970s. After working for the Churchill family and earning his certification from Lincoln Technical Institute, Rudolph built a prestigious career. He was highly sought after by a clientele of doctors and lawyers, serving with distinction at Wilson Pontiac, Metro Trucking & Leasing, and Amaco Gas Station, among others. He was honored with a plaque for 27 years of service at a Chevrolet dealership and eventually retired from CHI Centers in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he repaired buses for special needs children.
After living in the District of Columbia and Maryland for over 40 years, Rudolph and his wife Yvonne relocated to
Kissimmee, Florida, in 2015. In retirement, he enjoyed a life of leisure, filled with listening to music from his extensive record collection, family cookouts, and games of dominoes.
Rudolph is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Yvonne Kelly; his children, Angela Kelly, Donovan Kelly, and Rudolph Kelly Jr.; stepchildren Kayon Graham, Terry-Ann Barrett-Goulbourne, and Nicola Barrett; siblings David Kelly, Marcia Kelly, and Marilyn Kelly; and five cherished grandchildren: Ezekiel Kelly, Elaya Kelly, Emmanuel Kelly, Chelsea Graham, and Maxie McGregor. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sylvester Kelly.
