RUDOLPH SMITH

SMITH, Rudolph "Rudy" A., 74, of Chester, departed this life February 25, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Cole Smith; children, Tim Smith (Kari), Craig Smith (Cara), Travis Hague (Tracy), Stephanie Smith Brown (Jason) and Sarah Hague Dennis (Dan); nine grandchildren, Kaci Smith, Timothy Smith, Jr., Brandon Smith, Emily Hague, Koi Brown, Danny Dennis, Carmen Smith, Allison Hague and Ruby Brown; his mother, Eloise Smith; and sisters, Margo Brown and Mary Bowers. Mr. Smith was a member of Chester Baptist Church and was the owner of Rudy Smith Auto Sales in Chester, then worked as a wholesaler up until his death. He was well known and had many friends at the local auto auctions, had great story telling abilities and was the alleged East Coast Yo-Yo Champion. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road where a funeral ceremony will take place 12 noon Thursday followed by interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
